J’avais dit «jamais de blog»… mais j’avais dit aussi «jamais dire jamais».

Bon. Je suis là, je me présente. Margherita, 100% italienne, devenue Montréalaise par amour.

J’ai commencé à cuisiner quand j’étais petite, fascinée par la magie de voir une tarte gonfler dans le four. Après j’ai continué à cuisiner pour le plaisir d’inviter des amis à ma table. Diner après diner le plaisir de penser aux recettes possibles, au nombre d’invités est devenu une façon de m’exprimer, d’oublier tout «ce qui n’a aucune relation avec les ingrédients».

Chaque plat parle de mon histoire, on y trouve la contribution de ma famille, de mon mari, de mes amis qui m’ont soutenue et savourent beaucoup mes recettes italiennes.

Once I said “I will never write a blog”..but I also said “ never say never”… and here I am! I’ll introduce myself. My name is Margherita, from Florence, 100% Italian, became Canadian for the sake of love.

I started cooking when I was a child for the pleasure of watching a cake rise in the oven. Then, year after year I started to cook for the pleasure of having my friends come over, sitting on my table and observing them devouring all I had prepared. Dinner after dinner the pleasure of thinking about which recipes to prepare and how many people to invite over has become my favorite way to express myself, and also a way to forget everything that is not about ingredients.

Each recipe that you will find in this blog talks a little bit about myself and about my story. You can find out the contribution of my family, my husband and all of my friends who have supported me during all these years, the same who have tested and eaten up all my dishes!

There is one point I want to make clear: I’m not that good with dealing with precise quantities, such as mg, ml, cc, etc…My taste is more important than grams, but I promise that I will be as much precise as I can.
