- Préchauffez le four à 180°;
- Faites fondre le beurre à feu doux;
- Dès qu’il est bien fondu, ajoutez les pignons, le sucre, la farine, le sel et les œufs en dernier;
- Versez le mélange dans les moules en papier et cuisez au four environ 15-20 minutes;

Small pine nut cakes
It’s almost Christmas… “miracles” can really happen.The “miracle” I’m referring to is that I’ve finally realized this recipe that was waiting so patiently in my recipe book for 10 years. The pine nut recipe was waiting, indeed, for something more than a quick glance once in a while. Everything happened on one of these evenings, after a dinner at my place, while tidying up my kitchen when I found a bag full of pine nuts in one of my cupboards … suddenly a vision: the small red paper molds bought the day before (of course in the Christmas spirit)… an amazing way to thank the patient recipe.
So, now or never, around 1 a.m Istarted taking out all the ingredients.
My husband, who was almost about to sleep, grumbled, “ What are you doing? Are you crazy? ”. Probably he was right, but the day after he was very happy to sop up the small pine nut cakes in his coffee…
Ingredients
180 gr. of pine nuts • 80 gr. of butter • 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour • 4 tablespoons of sugar • 2 eggs • 1 pinch of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven at 180°;
- Melt the butter over low heat;
- As soon as the butter is melted, add the pine nuts, the sugar, the flour, the salt and at the end add the eggs; mix well;
- Pour the mixture in the paper liners and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes;
- Dust the small pine nuts cakes with icing sugar.

Sono lusingata! grazie mille!
Those little cakes look gorgeous! I have that same candle holder, btw, from Ikea. And I use mine as little bowls, too! 🙂
thank you! the candle holder, off course, comes from Ikea… nobody is able to step out from ikea without a candle or a candle holder!
These look perfect for dunking in coffee!
Yes, they were… and the size is “dangerously small”… one cake leads to another!
